Processing around 1,000 daily invoices relied on manual data entry. The original portal, which We built with PHP/jQuery in 2018, needed to evolve.
The decisions
We rebuilt the portal in Next.js in 2023, with direct cloud uploads, spreadsheet imports, email delivery and operational history. Consen integrates R3PA, which performs invoice OCR.
What changed
In production since 2023, the portal handles more than 1,000 invoices per day. A 16-hour manual-entry routine was replaced with approximately two hours of asynchronous server processing.
