The context
Electronic-lock operations relied on legacy systems, phone calls and attendants. The challenge was to modernize the experience while preserving business rules and hardware communication.
The decisions
We built the React frontend, React Native app, NestJS API and an agent connecting the cloud to customer networks. We implemented tenant isolation, operational workflows and AWS infrastructure in Terraform, with staging, observability and rollback mechanisms.
What changed
RNET supports more than 1,000 locks in production. Automating processes previously handled by phone enabled a 42% reduction in the staffing required to run the operation.
